Johanna Marie Bodeux mainly focuses on portrait and art photography, gathering alternate ways of consciousness, using clair-obscur techniques and pictures associations. Emotions in her work are translated into images that are only to be seen by moving the perspectives. She studied sociology, film and psychology at the University of Duisburg in Germany, and has directed her thesis in visual sociology as a documentary film. She now lives and works in Berlin. She’s also involved in music, as Marie Germinal (main singer of the rock wave band called GERMINAL), and is Dj as Nuit Noire (wave, postpunk, shoegaze music). She’s actually working on a photography-project based on Albert Camus’s philosophy and curates an online-exhibition called The Red Film.
